Coronavirus: Rise Up & Fight America!

So if everyone is freaking out about the coronavirus around the world & the best our medical community can come up with is wash your hands for 2 minutes &  hope for more test kits & pray that our scientists can come up with a vaccine quickly- that is EXACTLY what I've been ranting about for YEARS- that's not Health Care, it's Sick Care...
How about instructing folks how to bolster their own immune systems till this damn virus passes??? Oh yeah, I forgot- our official health community & government don't know how!!! SMH #FightForYourHealth
I am not an ‘expert’ but I’ve been around for a while and learned a few things. Presently, the world is shutting down. Most of the news is dire. People have died. But when you dig down slightly, you see that it’s the people who are already weak and sick from something else that are dying. Just like every year over 1 million people world-wide die from the flu. It’s another horrible thing that happens on planet earth.
But let’s say this time- this current virus is actually the big one that could kill us all. We know this enemy is coming from somewhere else in the world and has already infiltrated our country.
What does a freedom-loving American do when we are under attack? We band together. We prepare for all eventualities. We fight!
Just as we would go to war against a traditional enemy, we now go to war against this terrible virus. But ‘going to war’ is not just washing our hands thoroughly & watching the 24/7 news coverage of how its spreading.
As we prepare to fight, we prepare our defenses. Think of the coronavirus as a seed (a really bad one). What do seeds need to take root & grow? Among a few other things, a seed needs friendly, fertile soil. We need to make our bodies the most unfriendly soil a virus ever tried to grow in.
So bolstering everyone’s Immune System prepares our bodies for battle. Everyone will be starting from a different level of health but if we all seek to improve, our entire nation will be an unfriendly host to this killer. AND we don’t have to stop LIVING our daily lives.
But it will take a proactive effort by individuals and families- for some to tweak the ways they stay healthy & for others to finally make some wholesale changes that will move them toward real health.
Of course, ‘experts’ will discount this idea as simplistic or unscientific or unrealistic. But I’ll put my experience, my health & my gut feeling about this up against any of their theories.
So as I see it, as individuals we can do 2 things to help support our Immune System no matter where we are starting from. We can ADD foods & supplements that will bolster us and we can REMOVE foods & drinks that are tearing down our health.
Most health-conscious people have a go-to supplement or supplements they use at the 1st sign of sickness. Maybe it doesn’t always keep you from getting ill but even if you do come down with something, it’s usually quite mild and you recover quickly.
For me it’s a concoction of essential oils diluted in a spray bottle that I spray in my mouth & a special nasal spray. Depending on the situation I might add in H2O2 for my ears.
So if I was nervous about getting the virus, I would use the above everyday I’m exposed to other people even if I feel fine. Otherwise how would I know if the person next to me has the coronavirus or a cold or is a carrier? But I’m taking a stand, I’m being proactive, I’m fighting…
For unhealthy, out-of-shape, or sick people it might be just making a dietary shift away from foods that weaken the Immune System along with intelligent supplementation. For many just dramatically cutting back on sugar and refined carbohydrates and grains would immediately take stress off their Immune Systems.
Few of us are willing to give up our favorite vices. But we really DO know how to clean-up-our-act. We're just hooked on them! This is the perfect time to work on our natural defenses. I have MANY ideas about diet and supplementation we can discuss.
So if we all got behind this and made tweaks to how we go about living, I believe we can all feel better about how this whole thing will resolve. Just as Pessimism seems to come easy to most of us and Optimism takes work, this is where we are currently as a nation. Will we be buried by the fear that is gripping many… or will we rise up, be proactive and fight for the health of all? United we stand! One nation! A beacon to the world!

Amazon Review: 5.0 out of 5 stars- Inspirational read!
Just read this book over Thanksgiving and got so much out of it, it got added to my list of things to be grateful for. I really liked Russell Jones’ down to earth style of writing: relaxed, playful, irreverent but also serious as a heart attack!
I thought I was going to read a book about physical strength but got a whole lot more. With humor (and occasional derision), he writes and models a way of living that touches on everything from how to eat, supplement and maximize our bodies (whether training or rehabbing), to the larger issues of attitude, integrity, relationship to the environment, living and eating as our bodies were intended, setting goals by going inward and really assessing who you are and want to be, and more....
Jones is wholistic, comprehensive, very informative, fun and so positive and grounded. I feel truly inspired. Highly recommend!
