10 critical anchor points that will equip you & your child now…
and into the future…
How many times do we hear a Mom or Dad say ‘I did the best I could’ yet the tone is that of regret or disappointment or worry or even heartache about how things have played out? Part of that is the result of unrealistic expectations for sure. Yet maybe the biggest part is not having a comprehensive, holistic approach to parenting.
Take this journey with Russell Jones as he shares how tragedy forced him to take a closer look at how he should be raising his children. Use it as a guide, a checklist to see if you might be missing something.
Will this guarantee your child’s success? No… but they will be equipped to deal with what life throws at them. And you will have the peace of mind knowing that you really did ‘do the best you could’. No regrets.
Let’s get beyond rote techniques to the heart of the matter.

"This world is hard to grow up in. It's even harder for kids today than it was for someone like me. I used to think I was being a good dad and then my world was destroyed when I lost my young son in a car accident. It changed everything concerning what was important to teach my living children about being people in this world, about being with them, and about the kind of parent I wanted to be for them. They were all that mattered. Through that journey, I started to realize how many of us parent our children based on standards and what society thinks is 'normal'.
That was no longer good enough for my family. I chose to make a change and that change brought about amazing growth in our family; not just in our relationships, but who we became to others in the world around us.
And now - I'd like to be able to help others create that strength in their own families and each other through this Interactive Video Series, developed from a book I wrote in 1999: Top Secrets of Success 4 Kids...."

“Your workshop was super! I know tons of parents who would have thoroughly enjoyed your presentation, as I did! The information and personal experiences that you shared were very rich and powerful… I was truly enlightened by your presentation…especially because you are a very natural and ‘down to earth’ couple…You are an inspiration to young parents…God bless you both and keep up the beautiful work.” -Maria J., parent, Nutley (NJ) Public Schools

I went from being an absentee father (sounds like a true oxymoron) to a not-sure-I-want-to-be-a-father father to a I'll-do-anything-to-help-my-kids-be-happy & successful Dad... Find out how I did it! |

Pat Dalton, Edgewater (NJ) Alliance Chairperson, 'The response to the parent's workshop was totally positive. Parents were excited to take home and implement what they had learned. I teach parenting classes and I really enjoyed the 10 Power Tips. It's very important to get this information to parents when children are at the elementary level and head off problems down the road. Thank you very much.'
Ernest Brattstrom, Superintendent of Schools, Somerdale Public School District, NJ- 'To kick off our Goal 2000 (to establish a Blue Ribbon School), we brought in Russell and Lin Jones to work with our students and parents... to motivate them... get them excited about life... to reach for their full potential. The Power Workshop hit the mark. The students (who can be tough) were excited and the parents captivated. The 10 Power Tips were not only relevant but real. The parents seemed eager to translate the message into their own homes. I would welcome their participation on a yearly basis... and will wholeheartedly recommend them to other school districts.' Linda Holonia, president, Audubon (NJ) PTA- 'Russell and Lin gave our parents a lot of great tips on raising children today. They were not afraid to speak the truth in a clear, concise, and sometimes entertaining way. Thank you very much.' Paula Braxton, principal, Franklin Elementary School, Rahway, NJ- 'I would like to thank Lin and Russell for the day they spent with our children and our parents. The children had a wonderful experience today. The parents were very attentive and I believe the '10 Power Tips' will enrich them and their families. Again, thank you!' Pat Nibylski, parent, Hillside Ave. School, Cranford, NJ- 'It was a pleasure to have Russell and Lin bring their positive message to our kids... and parents. They were very well received and I highly recommend them. We hope to have them back soon!' |
Karen Wohlrab, Cultural Arts Coordinator, Deerfield Elementary School, Linden, NJ- 'Personally, my children came home so excited after being at the Power Workshop today. They called their dad at work to ask if they could get on the Internet so that they could visit (the Power Workshop) at your new website. After seeing you last year, I knew we needed to have you back for the kids as well as the parents. Lin and Russell are a dynamic team. You built the dreams and hopes of all the students ... the parents are now equipped to help build and encourage those young 'dreamers'. Thank you.'
Fran Gavin, Substance Awareness Coordinator, Rahway(NJ) Schools- 'The parent's workshop was excellent. As a parent and as a counselor, the important points that were made were basic common sense, but they were ones that we do not think about enough. We need to be reminded of how much better we can do as parents. Thank you, very much.' the Vision A world where young people and their parents/mentors/caregivers are equipped to make informed decisions that keep their lives moving in a positive direction. |
